Le projet du Navires de combat canadien (NCC) a r\u00e9cemment franchi une nouvelle \u00e9tape importante dans sa conception. En avril, 16 marins venus d'un bout \u00e0 l'autre du pays se sont rendus au Human Performance Lab de Dahlgren, en Virginie, o\u00f9 ils ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la validation d'une maquette grandeur nature de l'agencement d'une salle d'op\u00e9rations s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e. Cet exercice \u00e9tait le point culminant d'un processus de conception d\u00e9taill\u00e9, et le projet NCC est heureux d'annoncer qu'il a abouti \u00e0 un centre d'information de commandement (CIC) \u00ab verrouill\u00e9 \u00bb. La MRC adopte le CIC de la marine am\u00e9ricaine pour remplacer la salle des op\u00e9rations, plus commun\u00e9ment utilis\u00e9e, afin d'inclure toutes les activit\u00e9s et le personnel qui travailleront dans le CIC du NCC.<\/p>\n

Le processus de conception s'est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 sur 19 mois, en fonction de la d\u00e9cision de rejoindre l'entreprise Aegis. Les repr\u00e9sentants du bureau de gestion de projet du SCC, rejoints par des partenaires de la MRC, de l'industrie canadienne et des sp\u00e9cialistes de la conception Aegis du Naval Surface Warfare Centre Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) ont suivi une approche en cinq phases pour optimiser l'agencement des consoles du complexe CIC. Cette approche comprenait plus de 175 entretiens avec des marins, du grade de matelot de 3e classe \u00e0 celui de capitaine de vaisseau. L'objectif de ces entretiens \u00e9tait d'aligner les m\u00e9tiers et comp\u00e9tences existants de la MRC sur ceux de l'entreprise Aegis, cr\u00e9ant ainsi un dictionnaire \u00ab USN \u00e0 MRC \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Une fois ces donn\u00e9es collect\u00e9es et analys\u00e9es, un exercice sur table a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9 \u00e0 Halifax en octobre 2022. Il s'agissait d'une approche collaborative entre la communaut\u00e9 op\u00e9rationnelle et les concepteurs de navires de guerre, o\u00f9 un mod\u00e8le \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle 1:12 avec des consoles imprim\u00e9es en 3D a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 pour r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 des options d'agencement pour les trois espaces qui constituent le centre d'information du commandement (CIC), la salle d'affichage du sonar et la salle de planification op\u00e9rationnelle\/de commandement \u00e0 bord d'un navire. Plus de 75 conceptions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es \u00e0 l'issue de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, dont 18 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9es viables pour une \u00e9valuation plus approfondie. Ces 18 projets ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9s par les ing\u00e9nieurs en facteurs humains du NSWCDD et \u00e9valu\u00e9s sur la base d'un tableau de bord complexe ax\u00e9 sur le flux de communication, la proximit\u00e9 du personnel et d'autres crit\u00e8res.<\/p>\n

Un groupe de personnel de la MRC a ensuite s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 un mod\u00e8le final qui sera soumis \u00e0 des tests de r\u00e9sistance lors d'un exercice de validation Cognitive Walkthrough en avril 2023. Pour tester le mod\u00e8le, les op\u00e9rateurs s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s ont re\u00e7u une semaine d'instruction d\u00e9crivant les nouveaux aspects de la suite d'armes, de capteurs et de nouveaux postes du syst\u00e8me de combat NCC. Apr\u00e8s cette formation d'orientation, l'exercice de validation a dur\u00e9 trois jours au cours desquels divers sc\u00e9narios de guerre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en \u0153uvre avec la garde du CIC, qui occupait son poste dans la maquette du CIC. Chaque marin a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivi par un ing\u00e9nieur en facteurs humains qui a recueilli des informations d\u00e9taill\u00e9es au fur et \u00e0 mesure de l'ex\u00e9cution des diff\u00e9rents sc\u00e9narios, de la lecture des alertes \u00e0 la conduite des engagements.<\/p>\n

Bien que le NCC appartienne \u00e0 la future flotte, des travaux de conception cruciaux sont en cours, et l'avis des marins est essentiel pour que tout se passe bien.
