L\u2019adjudant-chef des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes (adjuc FAC) est le militaire du rang le plus haut grad\u00e9 des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes. \u00c9tabli en 1978, ce r\u00f4le exige des qualit\u00e9s de leader exceptionnelles, ainsi qu\u2019un engagement ind\u00e9fectible envers les valeurs et les principes de l\u2019\u00e9thos militaire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nous avons dit au revoir au premier ma\u00eetre de 1re classe Gilles Gr\u00e9goire apr\u00e8s 36 ans de service d\u00e9vou\u00e9, et avons accueilli le 15e adjuc des FAC, l\u2019adjuc Bob McCann, lors d\u2019une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de passation des fonctions. L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement, qui s\u2019est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 le 14 avril au complexe Carling, \u00e9tait diffus\u00e9 en direct sur Facebook et YouTube des FAC pour permettre aux personnes qui ne pouvaient pas \u00eatre pr\u00e9sentes d\u2019assister virtuellement \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie.<\/span><\/p>\n

La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sid\u00e9e par le Chef d\u2019\u00e9tat-major de la D\u00e9fense (CEMD), le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Wayne Eyre, qui a parl\u00e9 de ses deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de collaboration avec le PM 1 Gr\u00e9goire. Il a soulign\u00e9 le r\u00f4le pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rant qu\u2019a jou\u00e9 le PM 1 Gr\u00e9goire dans l\u2019\u00e9laboration du nouvel \u00e9thos militaire, Digne de servir. Le G\u00e9n Eyre a \u00e9galement reconnu l\u2019importance de la contribution du PM 1 Gr\u00e9goire en tant que champion de l\u2019Institut Osside, le centre d\u2019excellence pour le perfectionnement professionnel des militaires du rang. Les paroles du g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Eyre ont rappel\u00e9 \u00e0 tous les contributions remarquables du PM 1 Gr\u00e9goire, qui ont apport\u00e9 une stabilit\u00e9 bienvenue \u00e0 l\u2019institution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dans une allocution sinc\u00e8re, le PM 1 Gr\u00e9goire \u00e9tait visiblement \u00e9mu en rappelant des souvenirs de ses quarts de marin et d\u2019adjuc FAC. Il a remerci\u00e9 sa famille, ses amis, ses camarades de bord et ses mentors et a eu quelques bons mots pour la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration : \u00ab aux membres des Forces arm\u00e9es canadiennes\u2026 vous \u00eates les meilleurs marins, les meilleurs soldats, les meilleurs aviateurs et les meilleurs op\u00e9rateurs que le Canada ait \u00e0 offrir.
